My friend, I have seen the cat puke. It's out there in plain sight and everyone just steps over it and keeps on going. I've even tried to clean it up a time or two but the cat still comes back top the same spot and replenishes what was taken away.

I wear a target on my hind side for pointing out the fact that the emporer isn't wearing any cloathes on a daily basis. As of late, due to my blogging, it seems I have started to install runway lights that will lead all incoming traffic directly directly to it's target. It's not easy being “that guy”, but that's who we need to be…who we must be.

If nothing else, I'll see you in the unemployment line…..

EMS politics are hard stuff. I’d surmise that it’s because of the strength of the friendships that form in this profession. Everyone has someone’s back… right or wrong. That can make things hard to change.

fwiw, at our house, the rule is whoever sees the cat puke first has to clean it up, no cheating. And anyone who steps in puke previously seen by another person has the right to retribution.

As for the more serious issue… that seems to be much more difficult, being the one to point out the “cat puke,” let alone try to clean it up. We’re trying, but it is hard to have much of an effect on “the way it has always been.”
