I started blogging (granted I've not done much) to try and relieve some stress when I did my first attempt at Medic school. I read all the blogs and follow social media because I work in a hospital currently and don't get as much exposure to EMS as I would like, just occasional shifts I pick up.

And I am a big fan of EMS2.0 because I've seen here in NM things do need changing. We'll see what happens when I finish my move to CO this month.

Why? First, to communicate with fellow EMS partners in a way that has never been possible before (thanks to technology)! Rural EMS has had a rough road when it comes to exposure to what is really going on in the EMS world. All in all just think how powerful we can be joined together. Second, we learn from not only our own experiences but from others, it HAS to improve patient care to read about the call we may encounter in the future.
Third, I have noticed the peer pressure for us to act in a professional manner and to take pride in our career choice. Hopefully this will evolve into a demographically combined higher level of professionalism across the nation and the world.
I am not a "blogger" as a rule . . . until now, reason being, I am experiencing VALUABLE information submitted by fellow peers and also sharing my experiences and education in the hopes someone can benefit from them.

I totally agree and that"s why I too have started a blog page. To think the massive amount of people we can reach in one post. The possibilities that exist if you can reach just one person in my opinion thats worth it because 1 will become 2 and 3 ect...great post and thank you for your thoughts be well -Cara-

I blog because I don't want to work in the current system even Medic One. I also blog because I don't think the EMS 2.0 community cares much about the views of non-EMS personnel and the general public in particular.
